The issue with jobs
The issue with jobs
In today’s world most people have a job and think that anyone else should have one too and even more than that, the whole purpose of some is to get one and the fake feeling of security that comes with it. Going to college, being obedient, finding a good job, getting a family and having a life of regret is the golden standard for the Western Civilization.
All that is sad because the majority don’t want to live like that but are influenced by their family, friends, politicians into thinking that this is the way to go if you wish to be respected in our society. But I say fuck that, why would you even care about being respected by anyone, how does that change your life? But maybe the biggest reason why I don’t like jobs is that we, as humans are meant for greatness, we are not intended to do labor work but to revolutionize the world, to live.
If you have a job and you’re genuinely happy with that, and you go to work full of energy and excitement with a huge smile on your face then it’s all good. But most people hate their work; it’s said that only 13% of people like their job but I firmly believe that the percentage is even lower than that.
Dependence
The main problem with such a life is that many people are one paycheck away from being homeless because they have massive debts and if they lose their job, which happens often, they won’t be able to pay the debt so the bank will come and take their house away.
I don’t even get why so many Americans are even considering buying stuff on credit. Credit shouldn’t be an option for you if you’re buying houses, cars, and electronics with it because then you’re fucked since those are passives, things that are not making you any new money.
Yes, if you’re an investor, a businessperson and want to get some credit to buy actives, start a business, things that will pay you each month, then it might be ok as long as you know what you’re doing. Banks are just some big Ponzi schemes that will fuck up your life, stay away from them as much as possible.
This is how the last economic crisis happened; people kept on buying real estate with borrowed money with little to no down payment even if they didn’t afford it. When more and more of them weren’t able to pay their debt, the banks started to go underwater, and the Government bailed them out with the tax payer’s fucking money.
Don’t own, rent.
The Problem
Many people are complaining that they can’t get a job even if they have a degree but that’s bullshit. The degree doesn’t mean anything; if you paid for a stupid education and a worthless piece of paper, it doesn’t mean that you’re entitled to work in that field. There are many jobs, McDonald’s is hiring all the time, but people don’t want to work there because they have a degree and feel superior.
Also, many people are complaining about the small wages, but if you’re working in a saturated market, that’s all you are going to get. Anyone can serve food, even a monkey, it’s nothing special, so of course that they pay minimum wage, if you are complaining, they can replace you overnight, your position is not scarce.
If in fact, you desire to get a job, you have to focus on something scarce, and in demand that you also like to do, there’s where the big paychecks are made, but it’s still not perfect. You’re still an employee with a shitty lifestyle, if you want the freedom, look for alternatives and opportunities.
As I said in another post and Grant Cardone said before me, it’s your economy, not the economy. The government isn't going to provide for you; you have to take what you want when you want. Way too many people rely on others to live day by day, but that’s far from healthy, but as long as they are comfortable, they don’t care, take the control back. The Blockchain tech and Steem are this decade’s most significant opportunities; you have to take full advantage of them and change your life.
Conclusion
I have no idea what our purpose in this world is but if I know, one thing for sure is that no one’s meant to serve food for the money. People’s potential is so tremendous; anyone can change their lives and do something that provides value both to themselves and the world.
If today were the last day of my life, would I want to do what I’m about to do today. And whenever the answer has been, “no” for too many days in a row, I know I need to change something. – Steve Jobs
If you’re thinking about surrendering for something smaller than you deserve, if you’re thinking about getting a job because it’s “safe” instead of pursuing your vision and desires read that quote again, and again, watch the following clip until it’s stamped into your brain.
You will probably not be able to get the life you truly desire through a job; they are meant to keep the people just above the line of poverty but not to set them truly free and let them reach their potential.
Not every human will have the chance to read this post and get an “aha” moment, but because you’re reading this right now, you have no excuses for not grabbing life by the balls.

Man, you just described my life, I got a degree, got a job, escaped briefly and really loved what I was doing, then got a similar job, and now I just bought a house last year and it was a mistake for sure. Like I love the house, but just not a good deal with bank interest.
I don't like going to my job and find myself expressing in other ways like steemit any chance I get... Big changes coming this year
I'm sure he described the lives of many people :) Do you live in Montana? What's your interest rate on the mortgage?
I wish I never went to university and used my time for something more meaningful instead. I don't own a house but I don't have any debts either, so that's a good thing. Anyways, I hope Steem that takes off soon :)
Ya, 3.75% which is low, but still pricey in the long run, I agree, university was a waste on me. Also debt free, other than this house of course
Yes, 3.75% sounds low but I can imagine how much that is in the long run.
Close to 150% of the actual price I think, then bills and taxes and improvements! I'd suggest renting for most haha
Haha that's what I've been doing for the last several years 😁
Excellent post, and just what I needed to hear to let me know that it's okay not to want to work at a job I hate. I despise getting up early in the morning and working a job that is monotonous and in an environment where there is constant drama or back and forth nonsense filling up the hours I have to be on the clock. I'd rather find my own niche doing something I love than flipping burgers for minimum wage.
The education-industrial complex is a big part of this. Not everyone needs a college education especially when it ends up just being a reason not to accept a job that's beneath them. And the high school education that you get in public school is how to get a job. Fit in. Conform. Punch the clock each day and do as your told.
We're all taught to obey and walk the path laid out for us, even though there are plenty of warning signs against such a path. Most blindly follow it because they think that's the only way of living, but this illusion will become more and more apparent over time, as the economy begins to collapse at some point.
Ultimately, you are worth what you are willing to be paid. That requires skill, hustling, or a combination of both. Regardless, you can't expect the world to give everything you demand of it.
I think the biggest problem with this subject was the lack of opportunities in the past. I mean, decades ago, I suppose it was extremely hard to survive without a job, so people in in some way were programmed by our own society to see jobs as the holy grail of safeness.
And that believe remained even as our world changed and technology started to offer us a lot of new opportunities to change our lives for the better. Have in mind that technology advances incredibly fast... something like steem was unthinkable in the past decade for example
I think we are seeing small changes right now, especially in young people that are the ones fully immersed with technology, changes about rebelling against that way of seeing life, and using technology to earn a living. This trend should keep on growing as the "normal" world only offer crappy opportunities for us
An university diploma , or a master degree doesn't change much if you are not willing to put some effort into finding your dream job. I know i have allot of school years on my back, and i know i'm probably entitled to that sweet office job, but i also know no one's gonna come knocking on my front door and offer me a dream job on a silver plate.Want that economical freedom you seek ? You don't want to work 6 days a week, 12 hours a day? Work that shit. Start low. Climb the ladder. Kiss some ass, so one day someone is gonna kiss yours.
You were in school 20 years? So what? Most of us did. Not everybody's gonna become a general manager on your first interview.
You have rent to pay ?
Work that shit
You have debts to pay ?
Work that shit
Your dog needs food?
Work that shit
Your girlfriend needs new stuff?
Work that shit
I know money should't mater this much, but this is the world you're living in. Society looks at you with other eyes when you have some $$ in your pockets, a fancy car, nice looking clothes, a girlfriend with big, nice looking tits on your side. Should these things mater? Nope. But you can't change that.
