OpenBazaar vs eBay and PayPal, disruptive ?

in #money8 years ago (edited)

For those who don't know "OpenBazaar" is a market for buying goods and services with bitcoin, a free market for all. No Fees. No Restrictions.

I'm an eBay seller and eBay and PayPal are screwing me over

With their insane fees
With PayPal freezing and stealing my money
By all kind of unjustified limits
With always favoring with the buyers in cases
With near to 0 seller protection
By not backing up seller's policies
By not rooting out scammers

Just want to express my frustration and hear what others here think about this.
Do you think will see disruptive move coming from this new bitcoin commerce market.
I'm really looking forward for a game changer, I think we all do, and all the people in far regions of the world that simply need to transact easily. This can truly be a non-border transaction platform.

I haven't started using it, just heard about it few days ago. If anyone has feedback about this would love to hear..Is it safe to transact? Do you think it will grow fast and be successful?

OpenBazaar looks promising. I just wish you can host your store without having to leave your computer on but I head they are working on is using IPFS.

as a steam trader since 2012 paypal is the plague.
I hope they get out of business soon.
thanks to fintechs in hand their days are short.

OpenBazaar is real game changer when it come to e-commerce. It's decentralized, doesn't have insane fees like other payment processor charge for transactions, doesn't have a central authority to monitor what people buying and selling. With the integration of IPFS (I think they are working on it), practically you don't need to keep computer on all the time. I hope they can diversify the currency used for payment.
