Canada issued it's first silver dollar in 1935. These are the 6 different designs

This the 1949 ship dollar, perhaps my favorite of all the 6 different designs. I love the ocean!

Above is the Voyageur design. It is the longest running design and the standard for the Canadian silver dollar. It features natives paddling a canoe symbolizing the fur trade era. The rays in the back are the aurora borealis or the "northern lights" as they are called

Above is the 1967 centennial dollar with the Canada Goose. It's commemerating Canada's 100th birthday
Lastly we have the Charlottetown/Quebec commemerative design. It's celebrating the year those two provinces were formed.

Nice, I think I have a few of those in my collection too. Really like the weight of silver coins. It feels so much more different then holding those modern coin made of steel clad.

Nice! I'm missing the 39 and 49. Yours are in terrific condition.

Yes I tried to get nice examples of the different designs. I got alot lesser conditioned ones too. These are a staple for us beaver huggers 😁

Ed u may like the post I did earlier on the first Canadian gold coin?..Cheers

Yes, it was great.

I need to get some of those. I only have a few voyager dollars and some 50cents

These are a staple for Canadian stackers. They're like our Morgan's or your onzas perhaps? Thx for looking for carlos
