The Zuck is looking into cryptos
Mark Zuckerberg, promised in a post on Facebook on January 4th, that he will take a deeper look into decentralization and cryptocurrencies. What implications will it have on Facebook? Maybe as small as just having the ability to pay for FB services with cryptos or maybe he will surprise us with something revolutionizing. Because FB definitely isn't a "power to the people" thing right now. I'm gonna remain skeptical about this one.

Some thoughts about Ripple
Ripple's CEO, Brad Garlinghouse has a reason for us, why Ripple will overtake Bitcoin. "Ripple settles in 3 seconds - and that doesnt leave you open to price volatility risks like in Bitcoin, where it takes hours". Apparently Ripple has already over 100 banks working with them all over the world - Ripple is not as anonymous as Bitcoin - so it is more favorable for banks to adapt. I know many of us fight against this kind of control, but hey! - we are traders first. If it moves, we trade it. If it's cheap and and fast to transact - we will definitely use it. I say godspeed Ripple!

And the feel-good story is Dogecoin! A cryptocurrency, created as a joke and intented to be a user-friendly online payment system, has surpassed all expectations and now rocks a solid $1 billion marketcap. And finally, i want to take this chance and talk about 2 charts that i have my eyes on.
First one, YOYOW, the chinese STEEM, we have already talked about a litte. But repetition is the mother of success. As you can see, we did a breakout and perfect retest of the range. It hasn't taken off after the retest quick enough for my liking, nevertheless, this is something we should be watching. After all, what if we all become whales on the chinese alternative of Steemit?
And aussie/dollar.
Just keep an eye on the 61.8 level, it's getting fairly extended, we might squeeze some more out of it, as the RSI is diverging but at the same time forming kind of a bullflag on the 4-hour chart.

I do not think mark is bold enough to implement something decentralised. Facebook is just too power hungry and they would like to control everything, he mentioned this as a problem in the same speech.
That's true. but the world has changed and if Facebook doesn't they could be left behind on the ratrace. Probably corporations will look for ways to make decentralization work in their favor while we believe it is working for us :D
He doesn't seem to be a person who would like to loose control over his creation. So it will be just minor change or nothing.

Thanks for the quick Reply! Let’s not focus to much on fb anyway, this new platform is really comforting for me personally. I would enjoy using this site over Facebook even if there wasn’t any reward aspects to Steemit. That just makes it even more incentivised to post, comment and upvote other posts. I’m intrigued by his post though , I shared it an hour after he posted it on facey because it wowed me that he was talking about cryptos lol :)

its going be huge if Zuckerberg actually does what he said !
the question is not if but WHEN Facebook invests in cryptos.
Based on his users this crypto could increase rapidly.
BUT comments like this could be a huge multiplicator for STEEM. If corporations like Facebook are turning towards crypto - or rewarding social media - then this is a perfect proof of concept.

I feel stupid for selling my doge. I wouldn’t mind getting rich off ripple and then putting that money into less bank friendly crypto but the best days to get rich from it or over so I’m not touching it.
Hopefully many facebookians become aware of steemit before they make their move!
