Stock market checkup

Stock markets are officially in a correction (see graph). Corrections are usually defined as such when prices fall more than 10%.

This is the Dow Jones index, which as of time of writing, has fallen 11% from its ATH (All-Time-Highs)

Some people are getting stressed about this correction. I think it is quite healthy actually, after almost 10 years of Bull market.
Although, it is true that the downwards has actually been rather violent.

What is fascinating, in reading analysts reports and listening economists and strategists from Wall Street, is how those key players are so uncertain about what will happen going forward and especially what has actually triggered the sell off. Many are the factors chattered that can be blamed:

• High Frequency trading
• Federal Reserve tightening its policy
• Wage increase, spurring inflation expectations,
• Valuations
• Volatility

Are we in full correction mode? is it done?
We have to wait for Wednesday 15th feb CPI (inflation) numbers, before being able to actually take a strategic stance.
I have been writing about taking chips off the table, the timing was rather good. Now the market has cheapened, still I would not start putting money to risky products, for the moment.
Neither in Cryptos, which are actually spiking, but i am not sure the bottom is yet there.
