Say hypothetically I have $100,000 in a savings account that pays 1.5% interest. The federal government is currently admitting to a 2% inflationary rate, but with a 92.85 cent dollar the reality is were seeing an inflationary effect to the tune of 7.15%. Right, or am I crazy?

Sort:

The inflation destroys all savings, you can only lose :/
Invest in gold, silver or crypto.

I know that, but why does no one else? Im a college dropout with no finance background at all, and I can see it.

Why do people smoke even though they know it kills them? People do or don't do a lot of things they should do or shouldn't do.
