🧐 Is ... Bitcoin Halal? 🕌

in #money7 years ago

According to the chief religious officer of Egypt...

The highest officer of Egyptian religious law, Grand Mufti Shawki Allam, said that the commercialization of Bitcoin is "illegal" under Sharia law. 🚫

Furthermore, Bitcoin is not an "acceptable interface of exchanges" and it is therefore illegal to market it. As well as hinting that cryptomoney is only potentially useful for money laundering, he pointed out that, since it is not subject to the control of any government, cryptomoney could potentially threaten the Egyptian economy. 🙅🏽‍♂️

The funny thing is the following... Egypt's money is blocked, it's such that last year I traveled to Egypt and when I returned I couldn't change the Egyptian dollars I had left over because no exchange house accepted it because of the blockade....  ⛔️

Is the use of cryptocurrency so harmful, especially for countries where there is such a blockade? 🙈 🙉 🙊
