Cashless society?? Not in my world

People keep talking about the cashless society and how nobody uses cash any more. Well maybe in their world but not in mine.

I personally always pay in cash while out and about. I have never used a hole in the wall machine. Never used a card to pay in a shop. Never used a card to withdraw from a bank. Cash is king in my world regardless of what other say or do.

Every day i go into the post office and all i see in there is old people going to the counters with their pension payment cards which have been forced on them. Some of them can't remember their pin number and some constantly use the wrong number or say their pin out loud. But in each and every case when they get their card to work they empty their account and take the cash to shop with and to generally pay their bills.
Lots of older people have no understand of computers or computer system and have no interest in learning.

So while most of the younger generation are sucked into this cyber world of zeros and ones and work for credits on a plastic card. Older and some would say wiser people see the value even in tangible pieces of paper.

When you think about it, we as a society have gone from working for 90% gold and 92.5% silver, to no gold and 50% silver. Then to no silver just copper/nickel. Now today's money is coated steel that rots away to nothing within 2 years of been lost outside.
And tomorrow we will be working for credits on a piece of plastic. And soon to be credit that can never leave the banking system.

So what are you really working for? Or are we all just slaves to the money masters
