This is an interesting video, I will agree that we as millennials are the future (just based on demographics), but I've seen relatively no evidence that supports millennials being economically vialble.

Wages don't support their debts, the school loan default rate is the highest ever. Wages are stagnant since the 1970's and home ownership is at lowest level in 60 years. Additionally, the highest % of 18-34 year olds are living with their parents. Maybe this is the basis of the video, if millennials are living home without rents they have more capital to deploy in retail, or is it an abuse of credit cards that are providing the purchasing power?

This is an interesting topic to explore, especially as Boomers will be selling off assets in the next 10-15 years. Will millennials be able to take the other side of the trade?

Millennials are largely a waste of space and their main personal legacy will be destroying their parents' chance at retirement.

That's a version of the truth, but I believe as though it's those very parents who encouraged their millennial children to borrow 100ks of dollars to attend overpriced universities and consign loans that never should have been made. Parents encouraged millennials to follow their dreams and major in subjects where there are no careers waiting. Additionally, the "snowflake" culture is built on the helicopter parents and the feelings culture that this generation grew up in.
