The New and Improved @betty Betscorum Liquidity Bot

Scorum had a rough time the first half of the year, but things slowly seem to be turning around. Where I am the first to criticize the team and the platform for its shortcomings in a constructive way, I'm also happy to give praise where it's due. The @betty liquidity bot that has been set up by the devs got and update recently...

There have been some good developments lately. The USD amounts got changed in the wallet and the $ sign got switched to the scorum sign (real $ value would even be better) on the post payouts which makes the platform look less like a scam. This allows the @promo.scr initiative which got a 100k delegation from the devs to work way more efficiently as it's now actually possible to share the platform on social media without looking like an idiot. Only the Antiplag checker system that has been broken needs to get fixed again right now

Betty Betscorum Liquidity Bot

Betty was created by the devs early on soon after Betscorum became operational. At the start, I guess it manually offered fairly poor odds that were just stayed available until they were taken up or until the match started. While it provided some offers on the exchange, the odds on average were not that great and at the same time, it left the betty account exposed to line movements which allowed smarter bettors to take advantage of the system.

This system changed and everything seems to have been automated now directly linking the offered odds to the market-leading Pinnacle odds giving a slightly better price systematically! This is similar to what market-leading BTC bookmaker Nitrogensports does offering slight lower odds that are directly linked to the pinnacle odds. Having a system like this pretty much automates the line setting in the most efficient way possible because Pinnacle is still the main reference when it comes down to sharp odds.

This seems to have increased the number of transactions of the Scorum blockchain again which dropped to around 3000-4000 daily during the summer when there was little action on Betscorum. I'm sure we will reach new all-time highs again once the soccer season is in full action again soon.

This new and improved bot should allow anyone to more consistently take the bets they actually want on Betscorum while it likely won't cost Scorum inc anything as most people simply do not beat these odds and if they do it's with a marginal edge!

More Improvements Needed

I believe that being able for bettors to actually use betscorum consistently having decent offers available to instantly take without having to wait hoping someone will take the bets is key in the success of the platform. While the new bot is a great step in the good direction, it still offers very limited liquidity in the actual $ amount. This also shows the potential of the SCR Price which is far greater than where it currently is at. Only so much SCR is in circulation and in the hands of Scorum inc that it's impossible to put up enough offers on betscorum just copy-pasting all that pinnacle has on offer. The only way to make this possible is when the SCR price would go up. Some things that could be done to improve betscorum even more...

• Allow SCR holders to invest in @betty !
  With this new system in place, I would be more than happy to invest SCR into the betty bot allowing it to use my SCR to provide liquidity on betscorum with a profit share model that also comes with a risk of losses. If there was a function inside betscorum that would put up offers for me linked to the pinnacle odds that adjust as the market moves I would be using that right now! A way to automatically act as a bookmaker would attract investors, give people more reasons to buy and hold SCR and could even be turned into an earnings model for scorum inc as I would be happy to give up part of the profit in return for being able to use the service. It would also vastly increase the offers making betscorum more friendly to use for the bettors

• Dynamic Odds Bot
  I already wrote about this in an article about The Key For Scorum To Succeed and Betscorum Liquidity Solution | Dynamic odd and would love to see some kind of experiment with this as the platform is just perfectly suited for this. Basically, offer odds and let the market do the work setting the lines making them go up an down all the time based on supply and demand.

With the start of the new season, I'm looking forward to start using betscorum more again myself. Even though right now it still doesn't really beat the odds I'm able to get on Sportsmarket Pro. There certainly has been taken a step in the right direction!
