A dollar here, a dollar over there

For nobody is a secret the economic situation of my country, Venezuela, that through years of socialism has reached levels of inflation and unbearable crisis. This situation is so critical that we Venezuelans survive with an average of five (5) to ten (10) dollars per month, speaking from a minimum salary to the salary of an engineer in this country.

Many people in other countries find it very difficult to understand the critical situation, I have friends in Spain, in Argentina, in Switzerland, I have friends in the US, some of them emigrated many years ago, others have lived all their lives there and I know them from one game to another Online.

The situation is that when I tell them about the crisis that Venezuela is going through, the only way they can understand me is by explaining, with percentages or in dollars, what a product costs in this country.

1 Dollar = 216,000 BsF

The minimum salary in Venezuela, as I mentioned in previous posts, is the price per hour worked, per day worked or per month worked MINIMUM that a worker can earn. At the time of making this post, today 06/03/2018 is at 1,307,000 BsF monthly (equivalent to 6.05 dollars).

Many of my friends and acquaintances know what I do and that for my work I earn double and even almost triple a national minimum salary and they tell me:

"Wow, 25 years old and you win all that?"

"Why do not you move to Spain?"

"You already have your future insured"

"I would like your to get what you in my country"

I answer: It's not how you think.

To give you some more context I will explain how I have tried to explain to my friends, WITH COMMON ARTICLES. If a minimum salary in Venezuela is 1,307,000 BsF, in Colombia it is 800,000 pesos, in Spain it is 825 Euros a month and a person in the US (earning 7.25 $ / hour, assuming that it works 40 hours a week ) Earn 1256 Dollars then let's see how much a product's cost represents for them as a percentage.

A kilogram of sugar

In Colombia, 1 kg of sugar costs around 3250 pesos (0.40% of his salary).
In Spain 1 kg of sugar costs around 1 Euros (0.12% of your salary).
In the USA 1 kg of sugar costs 2.5 dollars (0.20% of your salary)
In VENEZUELA 1 kg of sugar costs around 240000 BsF (18.36% of a monthly salary)
Absurd!

And so this situation is repeated with many common articles where each of them represents an exaggerated sum or a very high percentage of your monthly salary. A dozen eggs 2.47 Dollars, 1.99 Euros or 240000 BsF, I leave to you the mathematics this time. That's where his expressions of wonder come, "The Bolivar Fuerte (BsF) has no value!"

Yes, my friends, the money of Venezuela has no value, with two or three basic items you already spent 100% of your salary. That is why we see so many Venezuelans emigrating, looking for a better quality of life, meanwhile we what we have left should look for an alternative. Some work with one another PTC page, others Resolving captchas, the vast majority playing online games to sell gold and items. ALL looking for how to make one another dollar there. That's how the Venezuelans are Trying to save a couple of dollars to emigrate and..

Surviving a dollar here, a dollar over there..
