Yes, the venezuelan bolivar was a really strong currency, and inflation kept very low for decades until 1970s, after that economy lost impulse and crashed
Interesting. But than again...why didn't US put their members of the Chicago School of Economics into this country, same as into Chille and Argentina... something to research
