RE: MONEY - DO WE SHOW IT RESPECT?

in #money6 years ago

Shouldn't this be a discussion about how we can change things maybe find another way to change the system to a way that is fare for everyone not just thoes at the top. The 99% just need the basic needs in life. A person with a billion dollar's doesn't need that to live. They have made that from the work of people just trying to survive. The momentary system doesnt provide for everyone to be comfortable. The word inflation comes to mind when people have enough disposable income and then people at the top still need to much profit. So prices rise. Im only trying to see if there is an alternative. The bartering system could be an answer. But it falls down when you have enough eggs and thats all I have to offer...

Actually nothing really required a discussion. It was an article on how to get out of debt....stop spending needlessly, live with less and put away some for your retirement years, since the government will not look after you .............THAT IS ALL IT WAS ABOUT. All other things that pull your strings and get your goat and put you in your cynical place. Write about them. For fucks sake. Use steemit as your platform. Get it out there. Publish your thoughts in your local paper. All your words and arguments are worthy. !!! All of them. They just do not coincide with what I am referring to and talking about. You are right no one needs a billion dollars. However, if they do have that...so what.Who cares...Look after your nest. If i have more than you, I am not lesser of a person with lesser value. I agree with government waste, and corporation waste. They are not part of an article to help an individual in his/her little world to provide for retirement years and stop overspending and well pay yourself first. What happens when you start reading. You go on a tangent all over the map. Stick with the program. Use your ideas, your voice, your intelligence, to get your thoughts out there. They are viable. I hope to read them soon.

Let me try to explain why this was relevent to your post about debt with a story.
I have friend who left the uk to work in the aerospace industry fir Boing in Seattle. He worked at the highest level for five years he and his wife rented a house and when it came time to get a mortgage he was turned down altgough he could well afford the repayments. The reason.. He had never been in debt. So for the next five years they ran up debt. Now they have a house but are in debt that they can never repay. Sobthe system requires people to be in debt to advance in the society that we live in. Does that help explain where I was coming from?

nope... a one in a million story...unless they want to know how to get out of debt...and live comfortable in retirement. If he made that much money he should have paid himself first...which is what i wrote. Paid himself first and invested it. Then live off the interest. duh. thats why it says..just because people have 6 figures does not mean they are money savey. maybe you should read what i worte... BTW and he could have paid for the house in cash. which many do. ...just saying... since we did. just saying..and we never made that much money. so like i said. learn to respect it. your friend did not.

I understand all thet you are saying. But as I was not privy to their financial situation Im only relaying what they told me. Houses are expensive in the US and I would believe that many are put in that position. We like you are lucky not to be in debt. Many even if they wanted to don't have the extra money to save an no real pension to help them into retirement. i think your article will help thoes on the border line and especialy young people to live more within their means. The best idea is not to get into debt in the first place. But I fear many go into debt just to pay general living costs. At least I know this to be true for Milllions in the UK as the welfare has been withdrawn over the last few years.

Well that is sad about the UK. House are 1/3 to 1/2 cheaper in the U.S. than they are in Canada. I am just saying that your friend along with millions of others get lofty ideas. If you are working in Aerospace you are generally making a huge salary. Three figures....but you still have to crawl before you walk in the housing game. But again you reply and my continuation goes somewhere else. Write about it!!!!!!!!!!!! Also that housing and food costs are too high. !!! write about it

It also means food costs are too high, and housing costs. Write About it. !!

OK 😁
