ADDAX Trading Game Round 2 Report - Fund Update - Day 5
The ADDAX fund continues to rise while the players seem to just hold on tightly to what they have.
The key data:
ADDAX fund value = 1062 STEEM (+30 STEEM)
Tokens in play = 14,935
ABV estimate = 7.11 STEEM cents (0.0711 STEEM) UP from yesterday
Income still decent, largely from tokens and especially from the twin-tokens CATS and KITTENS.
The CATS are essentially miners that create KITTENS that can then be used to exchange for more CATS. The whole thing could rise exponentially but the exchange rate is increased to attenuate this. There are upvotes given to holders of CATS but it remains fundamentally a game. It's an interesting use of the Steem Engine DEX and we shall see how it progresses as it has no formal closing protocol, unlike ADDAX.
This Round 2 of ADDAX is making less use of the MAP FinTech tokens, although MAPR remains a good store of value it only rises quite slowly. The main reason is that our tokens have matured and there are fewer opportunities for picking up under-valued tokens; we always keep our eye out for them, but the spreads have tightened so that trading those spreads rarely yields quick profits.

The cats and kittens are indeed an interesting game. When I first found out about them I was really excited because I think this is a good first example for resource management games on the blockchain. It would be interesting to have a graphical interface to make it more compelling.
That is a pretty way to gain some more tokens and it seems that so far the benefits are over the costs. Need to read a little bit more to make the next step, but the presentation information is quite encouraging.
