Overview: Monero (XMR) is a cryptocurrency that is focused on privacy and “censorship-resistant transactions.” Unlike most other cryptocurrencies, such as Bitcoin and Ethereum, Monero has a private blockchain that allows specific transaction information to remain hidden from tracking. Most other cryptos rely on a transparent blockchain, which allows transactions to be traceable and verified by anyone. Monero sets itself apart from other so-called selective transparent cryptocurrencies because its network was created with end-to-end privacy.
