The bell tower of the Epiphany Monastery, Kazan, Russia

I now live in Kazan. The city is more than 1000 years old, and of course there are enough historical sights. I will sometimes write here about what I liked.
Yesterday, a wonderful place filled with spiritual energy and history - the bell tower of the Epiphany Monastery on Bauman Street - was visited with a friend.
The highest bell tower in the city was built in the XVIII century. Then it was the tallest building. In the Soviet era, this building was lucky not to be destroyed, because at that time did not own the technology of vertical collapse. The church was less fortunate and re-registered.

For many years I walked past a tall tower on my way to the University. And yesterday, finally, for the first time I went inside.

Downstairs there was such a dove, he did not even think of being scared when we walked, and even when I bent down to take a picture. :)
