Unexpected Monarch Butterfly
I was under the impression that the caterpillars that turn into Monarch butterflies could only survive on milkweed plants. Then this guy showed up on my fence with no milkweed in sight, begging the question- how did it get there? It also had a sibling still in the cocoon and there was an empty one behind the fence.
