Beautiful homeless girl

in #model10 years ago (edited)

So before heading home today, I ran into this pretty homeless girl I see every now and again that always seems to be high on whatever type of drugs, roaming the beach aimlessly. I always try to a make an effort to help her with a meal, money, clothes, or a decent pair of waking shoes, but I don't think I'm getting across to her, and it's pretty frustrating because she could definitely use the help. I would gladly like to clean her up and make it a personnel project of mine, more so to benefit her more than me, because she would make a great model/subject. She has potential to be more in life and saddens me to see such a young woman give up and let herself go! She was sitting at the edge of a step that led to a staircase of a parking garage in the hot sun as she clutched her brown BK bag, holding her vanilla shake tightly as I approached to make humble conversation. I was talking directly to her about 3 feet away, but it was as if she couldn't understand me for what ever reason, and even when I asked if she could understand me she just stared at me, and right at that moment we made very intense eye contact to the point that it frightened me, and she too looked afraid, confused, and I'm not sure if she was even all there? After saying I was sorry I walked to my car to scrounge up some loose change, a bottle water, hand sanitizer, a couple pieces of chewing gum, and a couple of plastic bags as a little care package, but when I went back to look for her she was gone, gone in less than a minute! The part that bothers me the most is that yu can't help people that don't want to be helped.

A lot of times people in this situation have mental health problems which gets them into the trouble that makes them homeless. They often turn to drugs to self medicate - sometimes street drugs even end up being cheaper than the medical ones. It is hard to see people suffering and feel you can't do anything to help. Sadly it is a common problem throughout the world as mental illness is not taken as seriously as other types of health issues and drug problems are criminalised instead of treated.

Very true it's very sad 😞💊

We can help her...she can help herself! read This Post

if these are your photos?

Yes she has a pretty face right . I was a model before myself but I'm not interested in that anymore . Now I own my own business 😀👍🏼

The struggle is real, thanks for the share!

She has long arms :) she must be tall eh?

The story was well created, as we see a lot homeless spam, we hope it is legit and not just your daughter wearing dirty shoes. I up voted this post because of awareness is just as important.
