PREAMBLE

Most NFTs are built using a consistent standard known as ERC-721. However there are other standards that you might want to look into. The ERC-1155 standard allows for semi-fungible tokens which is particularly useful in the realm of gaming. And more recently, EIP-2309 has been proposed to make minting NFTs a lot more efficient. This standard lets you mint as many as you like in one transaction.

In case you are still hazy on the details, Semi-fungible tokens is a new type of token that could “seat a concert” or a “$50 dollar Walmart coupon”. In the case of a Walmart coupon, each token is fungible (same as each other) until the token is redeemed or used in store. Once a coupon is redeemed, it no longer holds value and hence shouldn’t be traded as a normal token. In this example, the coupon is “fungible” until it is redeemed (“non-fungible”), hence the name semi-fungible token.

With that being said, Mocktail Token is the first semi-fungible token of MocktailSwap. Mocktail Finance is an AMM protocol that incorporates multi-strategy yield optimizing on Binance Smart Chain (BSC) with low fees/slippage that also provides aggregation through vault compounding, lending and yield generation for maximum returns.

It’s a new Ethereum token standard on Binance Smart Chain and a new type of dapp on Mocktail Finance!

The ERC-1155 token standard provides a way to make one smart contract govern almost an unlimited number of tokens — technically, 2²⁵⁶ token types with up to 2²⁵⁶ copies of each.

Additionally, each token is semi-fungible. Unlike ERC-721 non-fungible tokens (NFTs), which can only be owned by one address each.

Semi-fungible means:

Each token type can be owned by multiple addresses

One address can own multiple copies of each token.
