Ramapazham....
Ramapazham :Annona Reticulata is the botanical name of this fruit. We call this sugary fruit as Atthani Pazham. In English as bullock 's heart. The taste of this fruit is similar to Sita Pazham (custard apple). It is more sweeter than Sita Pazham indeed . Unriped Rama Pazham is hard to touch and have pale green shiny skin. Whereas riped fruit is heavy and soft.The color of riped fruit varies from yellowish green,pale yellowish brown, dusky purple and some are transformed to crimson color. Leaves are used in Ayurveda and Unani .These fruit are high in Vitamin c and potassium.
