These creatures come out at night, at least in my area. The darkness is their cover to avoid predators and human cruelty. Contrary to public thinking, these snails move constantly to reach their desired destination. Their slow movement will surprise you how far they can displace themselves in a few seconds.

They are not alone in their travels.

And they are persistent and consistent about their journey. No matter how steep the cliff, no matter how hard the terrain, they move forward.

A life's lesson I could not simply ignore.
