Comparison of mobile phone contracts - What options are there and what needs to be considered?

in #mobile7 years ago

The search for a suitable mobile phone rate is not always easy. The decision is particularly difficult when it comes to the numerous contract options offered by mobile phone providers. This overview shows what possibilities there are and what needs to be considered.

Mobile phone rates

There are different rates for mobile phones. Students and pupils often get contracts with discounts on the monthly fees or free SMS. This saves the financially weak generation in particular some money. For those who primarily only use the telephone, there are several rates with free minutes. The number of free minutes can be selected from the given offer. However, it should be noted that many free minutes are accompanied by a higher basic price. For occasional users there are cheap contracts without a basic fee. Only those items are billed for that which have actually been consumed. Prepaid mobile phones ensure immediate and permanent cost control. The one-time SIM card deployment fee and low tariffs do not cause high costs. If you want to use your mobile phone at home, you should book the familiar rate with your home zone. The network operator will then provide you with a landline number in addition to the mobile phone number. However, this landline number is tied to a specific location. The home zone does not necessarily have to be placed on your own home. It can also be located at the workplace, for example. For a small fee, the home zone can also be moved to another location. For smartphone users, the new all-in-all flat rates are an interesting alternative. For a slightly higher basic fee, these include a telephone, SMS and Internet flat rate. This way you can use your mobile phone at any time without worrying about costs.

What you have to consider

If you are looking for a new mobile phone rate, there is a lot to consider. Do you want a contract with or without a mobile phone? How much are people talking on the phone? These questions should definitely be asked beforehand, because most tariffs can be divided into frequent and few callers. For less frequent callers, a prepaid mobile phone is recommended. The credit on the card mobile phone is unlimited valid and depending on the operator you even get small bonuses when charging the new mobile phone credit. Another alternative is a tariff without a basic fee. Although the charges for one minute of calling are higher than with other contracts, the low number of calls does not result in a high monthly bill. Special services such as UMTS also cost extra. Frequent callers, on the other hand, also use their cell phones for mobile surfing on the Internet and sending MMS. In this case mobile phone flat rates are the solution. However, you have to take into account details such as timing. Depending on requirements, minutes and SMS packages are offered at fixed prices. In addition, there are also weekend rates. In this way, you can easily talk to your best friend in your free time and even talk to her for a little longer.

I previously worked for and used Sprint and found them to have the best of the best in customer service if that is your highest priority. I have never used Verizon as their pricing is off the charts / ridiculous! For the past few years I have remained with Virgin Mobile and pay $32 (and change) total with effectively unlimited voice, data, texts. It is also month to month which is nice if you aren't going to use your phone for a few days after your cycle, you are not charged. I still have the first and only 'Smart fone' I have ever owned which is an LG Volt. That works great and you can pick one up on eBay for around 30 bux if you're lukkie! I do not email or browse from my phone but use it more for the iHeartradio app than anything else, sometimes voice search which is great also. No issues whatsoever once you get used to the account page / login / re-up pmt screen. Effectively, no one should be paying more than a dollar or so a day for unlimited use. Hope this helps!
