Reports Say Big News Will Be Announced At UFC 220
Not much confirmation of this but "reports" are saying that this weekend at Boston the UFC will announce that Conor McGregor will be stripped of his lightweight title and Khabib Nurmagomedov and Tony Ferguson will fight for the undisputed title.
Dana mentioned that if this were to happen Conor would get the first crack at the belt. If he succeeds he will have been a 5 champion without defending any of them which just keeps getting funnier the more I think about it.
I think this could set up a huge event in Russia provided it does happen and plays out in a certain way. If Khabib can beat Ferguson he will have the longest win streak in the lightweight division as well as a ridiculous record of 26-0. Then to defend his belt for the first time... against Conor McGregor... in Russia... How insane would that be?
