RE: CAN BELLATOR MMA SURPASS THE UFC AS THE #1 MMA FIGHTING ORGANIZATION?

in #mma7 years ago

I don't think ufc is going anywhere. What I would love to see is an organization do a Grand Prix tournament like in the old days. Big problem rt now is fighters get the belt and start turning down fights. The reebok deal is awful for the fighters. bellator puts on good shows but ufc markets way better. Until they promote better they will remain jv to ufc

Sort:

Theres a heavyweight grand prix tournament going on right now in Bellator. Second to the last picture showed the participants.

Ufc is not going anywhere. But the exodus has begun. Fighters want to get paid.

It's not in the same night though. That's what I'm talking about. 8 men 3 fights winner takes prize. I know it's brutal but it was awesome when they did it back in the day. I followed you by the way

Fighting commissions will not allow that to happen anymore. Fighters safety comes first. In the past if a fighter is unable to move on to the next bout there was a replacement. That does not make sense for an alternate to bypass the first 2 bouts and go straight to the final match which has happened in several times in ufc tournaments, where the fresher alternate won it all.

That delitigtimizes fighters toughness by having alternates "not "fight their way to the finals.
