Yanks Set to Acquire Giancarlo Stanton

News broke early this morning that the New York Yankees have reached a deal with Marlins' slugger Giancarlo Stanton. Last year, Stanton blasted 59 homers for Miami and will join an already dynamic Yankees lineup consisting of the young Aaron Judge, Gary Sanchez and Greg Bird trio.

MLB Network Insider, Joel Sherman, took to twitter to report the agreement which will send the Yankees 2B Starlin Castro along with some great but not top prospects and other possible veterans to Miami for the star outfielder.

This puts the Yankees in position to be a dominant team in 2018. The organization is currently over-flowing with young talent and now they acquire one of the best sluggers in the league for a small price. Will Judge and Stanton join Maris and Mantle as the only teammates to hit 50+ homers together in a season? Time will tell...
