The rough start to the 2018 season continues for The Warriors. After once again getting off to a good start in the week, the Warriors collapsed over the weekend and took a loss to Benny the Jet Rodriguez. The Warriors will start the 2018 season with an 0-2 record.

The struggle continues for the Warriors bats. Six of the Warriors nine batters scored between 10 and 12 points. Only one batter, Khris Davis (OF, Oakland Athletics) scored more than 20, with a score of 27. Corey Seager (SS, Los Angeles Dodgers) has been in a complete slump this season. The Warriors first overall draft pick, Giancarlo Stanton (OF, New York Yankees) also remains in a slump. They look to turn things around as they head into the Week 3 matchup.

Pitching

Rick Porcello (SP, Boston Red Sox) remained dominant on the mound, throwing 7 strong innings and giving up 2 hits. He scored 30 points to make up a big chunk of the total 80 provided by the Warriors pitching staff. Alex Wood (SP, Los Angeles Dodgers) had a terrible outing, chalking up a score of -10 after giving up 7 earned runs in 3.2 innings. Andrew Miller (RP, Cleveland Indians) did his fair share of relief, providing 20 points with a win and a save. Overall, it wasn't enough to get the job done.

Scherzer struck out 21 over the course of 16 innings and tallied up a total of 71 points for Benny the Jet Rodriguez.
