Miracle baby turns 1

Today is a very special day indeed. Our family's little miracle, my niece, Angelica is 1 today.

A summary of events are as follow:
After 5 years of trying to fall pregnant and almost giving up, my sister discovered that she was finally going to become a mom. Everyone was really excited, at 7 months or 30 weeks. Tragedy struck. Whilst crossing the road at a pedestrian crossing, looking for a pram. My sister was hit by a car, flung up in the air and landed 40m away from the initial site of impact.
She was bleeding so much that everyone thought she had died. (List of injuries in article above. At the hospital they discovered that although my sister had suffered severe injuries, the baby was heathy and in perfect condition.
They feared that this would not last long since my sister had to undergo 2 major surgeries and they feared that this would either abort the child or cause early birth.

Angelica was a little fighter and stayed put for her full term... she is still a little fighter.

She loves it when people sing to her but if you sing badly she will put her hand over your mouth to tell you to stop. Singing is how she likes to fall asleep.

She has become everyones joy and has the biggest smile.

She has stolen everyones hearts who meet her.

She has learned that you can collect all of your bath toys at once and then don't have to choose which one to play with.

She has learned that she loves chocolate, and easter because then you get lots of chocolate.

And soon she will learn to be a big sister.
