Morris The Minnow 02: Plugged

The afternoon seemed like an endless boring gap for the young minnows of Haytton Enclave. What about their counterpart in the suborbs? That's what they call the areas outside of Haytton Town -- suborbs from the words sub and orbs. Colloquially they are referred to as borbz. Orbs are small independent and self sufficient communities but are less desirable for most minnows. If you are a young minnow like Morris and you live in the borbz, most likely you are part of the working class. As young as you are, you are already looking after your own. Your 2:00 PM to 4:00PM schedule is for making a living or doing other things to support your family and community. Youngsters at the borbz are obliged to do community service at that given time period.

At the Flappertail's residence, life is sluggish at the said time gap. Time for the young minnows to spend on themselves to develop or learn a new skill or hobby etc. The residents refer to this practice as being grounded although not in a negative manner. Morris, got off the chat with his friends and got tired of the popettes topic. He plugged his ears to listen to a recent podcast he discovered.
