Minnow Support Project Library- Call for donations

A few months back @aggroed put out into the world that the Steem ecosystem needs a library so we can help people learn to program. He was able to receive a few posts over a few weeks and start a tutorial system and the blockchain and with the help of @rhondak through steemshelves.com, but some life things went a little sideways for a bit. They have since returned to normal and to balance. It's time to refocus some energy on the Library!

Going forward the MSP Library project is going to fall on the Minnow Support Project page. We're going to continue running contests to get tutorial posts written for many different languages with the main importance being programming tools for the Steem Blockchain.

We are asking for donation

The contests are helpful, but what's even better is direct payment. Many of the developers that would be willing to write posts on this are nervous because they are still minnows and they can't get their posts seen or heavily rewarded. The @minnowsupport account can make sure that they are seen, and we collectively can make sure they are rewarded.

We're raising money to build out the library with more posts. We'll manage this process and we'll get a community space where programmers can find resources they need to create and publish tools, but we need some funds to help us. The current goal is raising the Steem equivalent of $1,000. To that end @aggroed is going to match the first $100 that comes in helping us get 20% of the way their hopefully in just a day or two.

We'll put together a post of anyone that donates thanking them so we'll also help you get some exposure here. Especially if you've gotten support from the @minnowsupport account in the past please consider sending us some steem or SBD.

We'll use the money to hire authors to create high quality steem programming tutorials and store them publicly on the steemshelves.com website for everyone to be able to quickly access. As more posts get written we'll take better care to organize them well, and it's our ultimate intention that with a full set of curriculum materials available we can start offering courses to teach intro Steem programming. The current plan is to pay authors 20 steem directly for their tutorial posts, offer a resteem, and put it into the library for easy access later.

So, if you like public libraries, if you'd like to see a public university teaching how to code blockchain apps for steem, and if you broadly support the Minnow Support Project then please send some Steem or SBD and let's get to work!

@minnowsupport should be launch resteem the posts project. Because is has too many followers. I

I think this is an awesome idea and I am planning on donating a few SBD of my own to assist (on top of the bit that I already delegate to minnowsupport). I love the idea of a library... maybe next we make a Steemit-based Mentor Program with 1-on-1 Sessions and Assistance.

Im glad this is being worked on. Great idea. Ill be looking to give what i can. thanks.

Sent over 19 SBD--I love the Minnow Support Project.

Someday when/if I ever get plenty of Steem and SBD I will be happy to donate. I've got a long ways to go though.

@minnowsupport Thank you very much for your contribution to this amazing community

Thanks to your team, many newcomers coming to this resource will not abandon it, but continue to move forward, thank you, I wish you success !! =)

Supported!

The Steemit Development wing of Steemshelves is absolutely intact. I refunded prepaid monies a while back so there could never be drama over that. But you guys are welcome to use it or lose it however you want. It's there for ya.
