Whales throwing their weight aroundsteemCreated with Sketch.

These auto-downvotes demonstrate yet again the shortsightedness of the "experiment." @BadQuakerDotCom has only had one payout over $1 (net, after curation rewards) in the past 3 weeks of almost-daily posts, and now this whale war has heavily downvoted the latest post. Kindly go check it out here.

I like it. We can see wha the masses really like

No, we can't. We see what Curie likes and what smaller whales like. That's about it.

That's nice. Smaller whales are more fragmented and less likely to all run in the same direction. The problem is all the robots are still set up to predict the whales behavior so we actually need the experiment to last long enough so that people reprogram the bots.

Bots are a problem. Flagging content producers is not a solution.

Due to heavy concentration of power, we have to flag whales who won't abstain. If you are a good content producer you will still make a lot of rewards. But good content producers who were aligned with one or two whales have been way overpaid lately.

"Overpaid" by what standard? I agree that whale votes are over-weighted in the current reward model, but blanket punishment is no solution.

Unfortunately, this has resulted in whale downvotes actually hiding content so minnows never see it.
