Another great set of newbie posts! I like the one by @beekerst because of the old photographs. And it also reminded me of the time I traveled in Lousiana last year, didn't get the chance to see the forest area so it's nice to see from someone living there :)
That's cool you were in Louisiana @wanderlass ... I love the bayou and have some great clients there... They like their crawfish soup too ;)
We stayed in the French Quarter and I love the gumbo! That was my birthday holiday and visited my high school friend in Texas. But the US is sooooooo expensive. I haven't replenished my travel funds since then hahaha I loved the experience though. It's a really different world from here.
wow that's a cool birthday trip! I love the chicken and sausage gumbo too (not so much the seafood ones though)... And yes it is expensive especially the bigger cities, but its really cool that you did make it at least once. Also, I've been to manila, its very much like the US... just kidding... way too much traffic and nobody sleeps at night :)
I also like to travel to many different places, it is very cool to see the culture everywhere! Maybe I'll change my name to wanderlad
I know what you mean by the funds for travel, I haven't been anywhere in a couple years... Thanks to steemit though I feel like I do virtually though!
