However, if you vote too early (before 30 minutes), you risk giving a lot of your rewards to the author of the post. So, where is the "sweetspot". That is difficult to say. Remember, the best of the best in curating only get it right about 66% percent of the time. Which means they are leaving money on the table. Therefore, it isn't likely that you're going to do much better and that is why I have some strategies for you.

Use your upvotes like they are GOLD. You only get 70 - 75 of them a week at full VP. They are precious and should not be wasted by throwing them around the platform like a Marine in a strip club.

Here is a summary of the first part that was confusing. Upvoting posts and getting good curation is difficult. Even the best curators on Steemit only get maximum curation rewards about 66% of the time. Therefore, don't both with trying to curate posts for rewards. Use your votes to create friends and relationships that will be valuable to you now and in the future.
