RE: @buildteam @thecryptodrive - are you ready?!
Fine. You win. Tonight I will dump $100 SBD on a post titled: "Why I will no longer post on steemit and neither should you". Enjoy downvoting that with your bot army.
People like you are the reason artists and authors are leaving the platform, and scammers and spammers stay.
I hope you enjoy your self-upvotes and crowd of purchased followers as you watch the platform die and turn into a steem generating engine for the likes of you and nothing more. It's what you want, so it's what you invest in. So it's what you and the rest will get.
Me, I have a life, a job (that pays better than steemit ever could) and no time for your stupid wars.
I am not the kind to say such things, but you've managed to make me lose my cool. The best thing you, mr @berniesanders , can do for steemit and its community is die in an oil fire.
I think unfortunately for those who care about the platform, it'll die. It's the vessel for bigger things, and we are the guinea pigs. The currency will live on in it's current form and through SMTs I'm sure, but to the detriment of the platform. It's already been noticed that none of the founders of Steemit actively post here. What does that say about it? That they are Gods who created a world but do not want to live in it? Great! :P
The system is flawed for sure, but using a bot is basically the same as advertising. It's true some people will boost their absolute shite, or perhaps like me boost their work that could be interesting to some but isn't mind blowing stuff either. Without bots upvoting me, my work is not seen. By using them intelligently I've been able to turn over a tiny profit which I hope will grow as the currency value goes up. As with advertising, you are able to put your product or content infront of a lot of people, for money. And the people can then decide if they want to vote on it or whatever, you still have the choice, but the author has made themselves a little sum of money ontop without your support. Why does that matter?
So, what does everyone expect? This isn't a charity website and people wanna get paid. It's here so we can continue creating content, as people did before on other platforms, but the content has a value now, a motive.
In conclusion. Fuck it. I love how the criticisms usually come from people who are doing something similar themselves, is it jealousy? Who knows. Anyway, it's a shame it all comes to this.
I would say Steem on, but probably just don't if it annoys you so much? There's a big world outside of Steemit and it's way waaaaaaaay cooler out there trust me.
