Investors! Step up in 2018 and delegate your Steem Power to communities and minnows

Hei everyone, i am writing in the hopes to alleviate a small problem - namely leasing Steem Power (SP) has become so popular recently, that even with prices rising due to heavy demand, there is not enough investors willing to delegate their Steem Power out. Or maybe people are not aware, that they can do it safely and comfortably via Minnowbooster.

It was just a couple of months ago, when we had a SP lease market with a fixed price and that netted about 20% APR to investors, depending on the period of the lease. But now, users can set their own price, that they are willing to pay for delegated SP, and many of them are outbidding each other, to get their leases filled.

Currently the NETT APR to investors has risen above 40% on some orders and there is abundance of lease orders waiting to be filled between 30%-40% APR.

That's more than most hedge funds return!

Data via Bloomberg. Data is indicative and many funds haven't yet had a chance to file their returns. Yet it's well known, that 10% is a good return

Of course - the amounts of money rolling around are completely different, but earning 40% on your investment does sound attractive, if you're moving a little bigger funds than the average crypto user.

So - without further ado - visit our site https://www.minnowbooster.net/ and click "New Lease Requests"

Looking for better returns? Sort by NETT APR. You can sort by period length, payment, amount of SP to delegate etc.

Found a suitable lease? See the details by clicking "Fill this offer"

03 - fill this offer.JPG

If the details are suitable for you, we have made it easy. Just click "Delegate (with SteemConnect)" - this will require you to enter your STEEM username and active key and you're set. Returns will be paid out daily to your Steem wallet. Feel free to compound your investment and delegate the returns as well.

Notes:

  • for users, who are unconfortable entering ther credentials into SteemConnect, there's a button for delegating via Vessel too. For easy delegating you need Vessel 0.2, although you can do it via earlier versions too. I am not going to delve into this method in this post, as it tends to be that many Vessel users are already familiar with delegations etc. If you get stuck - feel free to drop by our Discord server for help.

  • After the delegation period is over, you are sent a cancellation link to your Steem wallet. By using that link and confirming, you can cancel the delegation. After undelegating, Steem network holds your Steem Power for 7 days, before it's returned to you, so many investors prefer to fill longer leases.

  • The leaser can ask to renew the delegation period - essentially removing one 7-day cooldown period from the delegations. Upon this request, a note is sent to the delegators wallet notifying about this along with a link to cancel, should the investor prefer it.

Remember, if you need help, stop by our Discord, link below.

Help Minnows by just bothering to read newbies posts and give them an upvote if deserved. Its really that simple to encourage and nurture someone to provide interesting and/or factual content and support them in the beginning as then they will support someone else in the future.
All this wheeler dealing and bollocks with the financial side here really pisses me off, encourages shysters and con artists to the community which is the last thing it needs.
Why does it all need to be so complicated ? Leasing Steem ? WHY ? seriously, is there any other reason other than making someone somewhere some money ? It never ceases to amaze me how the libertarian principles of so many people disappear out of the window when money is mentioned. These issues with people just greedily wanting to make as much cold cash as they can from this site will be its death one day unless its reigned in and that will be so sad for all the philanthropic, helpful and wonderful people there are here.
Have a great weekend :-)

PS When it comes to greedy buggers, I'm more furiouser than you !! lol

Hey @nathen007,

Nice comment! I agree that once money is involved, most people throw their morals away and try to earn, because why not. One of my goals for building Minnowbooster was always to allow those who want to maximize their profits a way to do so without butchering the network. They wan delegate their SP to projects in the community or sell their votes to minnows who want to promote their best posts. And that is a way better alternative than spam posts, selfvoting all comments 100% and bot armies.

I like the way you think! And so I delegated you 500 SP, so that you get your slider. Please use them responsibly by upvoting promising new members in the community or by flagging 'good post' spammers after you educated them.

Should you make a bit post on this matter at some point, just mention me with @reggaemuffin and maybe I throw in a vote if I like it :)

And if you ever have suggestions to Minnowbooster, hit me up!

Thank you so much. As you can see, I dont post much. Im more a reactive commenter. I love the principles that people can be rewarded for their hard work and effort, especially when for so many it can empower them to earn a few quid. However, the big hitting crypto guys on here seem to have a closed shop where they generate wealth for each other exponentially, thus, as in a society we all seem to be in agreement of getting rid of, the rich get richer and the newer members, even if they post top quality stuff get no where fast which of course is demoralising and puts them off. Thats the sad thing.
I dont have a problem with anyone making money, however large. I do however have issue with greed and lack of sharing it around to help deserving others.
Thank you for your trust. I will use it wisely and for the benefit of the community and thanks for being another of the top nice people here.
Have a great weekend :-)
PS Ive now put you and Mr or Mrs Furious into my 'philanthropic, helpful and wonderful people ' category

I totally agree with @nathen007
But, I have an observation. You gave him 500SP, because he already has the power.
I will not give anyone like this to a new user, which means that you are no different from those whales who you are talking about.
After all, am I right? You're just sorry to share with someone like me for a time for development

I really don't understand your comment, sorry. He had 17 SP so no, he had no power. Maybe you mixed things up?

I wish I knew smooth's price functions by week!!

Haha, great writeup, mate! But regarding this "seriously, is there any other reason other than making someone somewhere some money " - steemit is based on cryptocurrency and the platform is already monetized, so the material side will always be there.

I know that, but Im old, and these days everything seems to be over complicated !
The financial side is good, but its a very fine tipping point where it becomes more important than the product, the content. Content is educational, personal, sharing....this is the important shit in life! Trading futures and leasing steem power..bloody hell.
At 51, Ive seen a lot and lived through this massive tech revolution which is almost as important as the industrial revolution of 250 years ago, but I still maintain, that if you want to appeal to the masses and make something as inclusive as possible, it needs to be simple so it can be understood by as many people as possible.
Accepted grumpiness is one of the only positives of getting old lol....watching your ability to learn new technology getting overtaken by its rate of change isnt !
Its beer o'clock so I'll raise a glass to you fella :-)

True, a balance between content and money, while sharing the latter, would be the perfect scenario for this platform. But alas, nothing is perfect - what we can do is strive towards it, some get stomped on, some get lifted, some who deserve it, get little notice. Hence we encourage communities of like-minded people and this is where power helps a lot. Yes, power is occasionally abused, but i have seen many who use it also for greater good. You already met our favorite Steem witness @reggaemuffin, i think you could do well in @adsactly communities also.

Beer o'clock here too, so Cheers!

Hey @furious-one, you are the great and so helpful but recently minnowbooster unable active leasing request, me also more others users getting refund their steem, this si so ugly time for those like me, how to recover this problem i'm search for that

Your price was too low. You will have to increase it if you want to get SP. You can always see the chart that tells you your chances with a certain price.

Thank you for your kind information, i had using this graph and tried this but failed many times,
@reggaemuffin

Demand for SP is higher than supply, that's also the reason for this post. Check the graph on our website for most filled leases (at what price) https://www.minnowbooster.net/lease

When supply demand will fill-up and will be available, can you guess or fix?

There's currently nothing to fix about this. We're talking about options of bringing bigger investors in who can fill the void in the supply.

In the mean-time - keep posting quality contents and your SP will grow on it's own. Maybe one day you are the one delegating your SP out to your friends and communities.

I really want to know what is the relation between @furious-one and minnowbooster. Can anyone tell me that please?

However, thanks for refund me @furious-one.
And from now i committed to you i will try to post good content what ever i post here. Have a great weekend..!

It is the great way to make the vote matter at the beginning. I leased from minnowbooster few times and it was great feeling being able to reward artists with many cents for their work. The only flaw was this thought on back of my mind that after 4 weeks it will end and i will be poorer by initial investment. That makes you think how to make money back? Using steemfollower or selfvoting? It would be nice to be able to get delegation and don't have this need to earn it back, just vote on what I like.

Same here ... Minnows really have a hard time to grow here in Steemit without the help of whales. Hope they become generous and delegate their SP.

i really hope this post gets to trending page. i have been trying to lease steem power on minnowbooster for weeks now unsuccessfully.

i agree i use minnow booster and it will go a long way helping minnows than just thinking about profit,

Nice dear keep it up I resteem your post

Minnows like me really have hard time to grow... someone please delegate some sp....

Try providing some interesting and original content and having some patience. Steemit isn't easy money !

Yeah, you have drop right mention, we need to create quality content

true , and it takes time and effort..work... work ...work lots of work to succeed

FEEL THAT WHALE WAVE SPREAD !!!!

Thanks for your post. You did good job @furious-one..........
