How to Handle A Break Up

in #minnow7 years ago

Breaking up is a challenging and demoralizing experience that can take a lot of motivation from a person's life.

However, it can be at least somehow a positive experience if you allow it. This can make you grow and become a stronger and more attractive person.

It does not matter if it was a long-term relationship, a short cyber affair, an unsuccessful love or a good friends-with-benefits arrangement. If you cared and felt connected, you will feel a deep and painful void where there was once laughter and affection. It's like living a little death.

I hope the following tips help guide you past the breaking point.

Embrace The Feelings.

Breaking up with someone feels like a major loss. It is essential to give yourself time to mourn the end of the relationship; However, it is important to remember that everyone weeps differently. Some people cry, get angry, act, become sad or deny that the relationship is really over.

Do not beat yourself up for feeling a certain way. In reality, there is no "correct" way to overcome and get over someone. Despite the many manuals and self-help books that have been written on this subject, the only real way to cope with a breakup is to face and deal with the breakup. Remember that these feelings are a natural part of the healing process and allow you to feel what you feel when you feel it.

Realize It's Not Your Fault.

Stop blaming yourself. It's not your fault (or of others, for that matter). Sometimes couples go in different directions or the initial chemistry disappears. Anyway, the relationship is no longer working.

Do The Things You Love.

After a bad break it is hard to get excited about the things you like to pre-split but the only way to start having fun and move on again is to force yourself to get out and do them anyway. Treat yourself to something that brings you happiness and makes you feel good. Self- care is essential to the healing process, and doing things that make you smile can help you heal.

Reach Out To Others For Support

The support of others is essential to healing after a breakup. You might feel like being left alone, but isolating yourself will only make this period more difficult. Do not try to go through it on your own. So try and surround yourself with smiles and happy vibes.

Finally, if you start dating someone else, take it very slowly. Guy. You just finished with a relationship and your heart turned and exploded like an oil. Take it step by step and enjoy it as a casual moment, this will give you some time to evaluate if you are actually ready to be with someone or if you are ready to have a very hot sex with them.

Thank you for these words I am separate in a year

I found this post to be extremely truthful and honest as to what it truly means to separate ties from a relationship - Its never easy but my theory is if it were truly meant be - it may not be over, however do not hold onto false hopes if you were the one let go.
Also - Regardless of whom decided to break it off - if it was not meant to be - then consider moving on as time saved in a relationship that was going nowhere and preventing you from finding the right person and enjoying love with them
