3 Mining stocks I am holding long
The following 3 have served me well over the last 3 years. I just cleared out a bunch of buy and holds and took profits, but these are the three I am keeping. Two are still very affordable and priced reasonably for buy and hold and the other while a little more expensive has raised its dividend.
Here they are in order of current price in USD.
GPL Great Panther Silver Ltd, currently at $1.21 I have seen gains of 200% and continue to add on hard down days. I expect this to see $3 in the not too distant future (not too distant for me is less than 5 years), I might consider a selling 1/4 of my holdings then.
IAG Iamgold Corp, currently at $5.06 I have no idea where this one will go, but it has been rising in phases sometimes in the face of weakness in the mining sector. Yesterday June 8th, 2017 for example this stock showed strength all day, even though there was a substantial smackdown in both gold and silver prices.
PAAS Pan American Silver Corp, currently at $17.98 this is easily my favorite mining stock, it is not as volatile day to day as the other two, the dividend was recently raised to $.03 per share every quarter, and I got in when it was way below $10 and continued to add to it. I am not too sure how high PAAS will go, but as long as it continues not to break down below $12.50 and the dividend stays the same or goes higher, I can't find a good reason to sell. Heck even if it hit $50 I don't think I would sell more than 10% of my holdings, the quarterly income is a nice bonus.
I can't offer any advice on what you should be doing, but I can give you an example of what a regular ol' person out here in the ether does with his investing dollars.

I have held GLDLF and KNTNF for a couple years. Buy low and sell when they double. Then scrape off profits and get real PMs. Works nicely with 10,000 plus shares
Yeah that is a nice plan. I took original investment out when they first shot up and reinvested in crypto. Now I add to each position every 3rd month and take profits when I need a car repair or want to buy my wife a gift.
UPDATE all of these are down this morning.
IAG is showing strength again.
