GPU Temps

What range do you guys like to keep your temps at? We have a set of 1060 6GB variants that are anywhere between 62C and 67C. We also have two 1080 ti that came stock as a blower style. We took that stock shroud/fan off and made a prototype shroud that just fit over the cooling fins of the card. I'm guessing that either because of the silicon lottery or a difference in thermal paste, the temps sit roughly at 55C and 63C. We have some Arctic Silver in the mail. If we take the server case cover off, that temp drops a few degrees.

Also, does anyone buy after-market heat sinks? We are going to look into water cooling, but I feel that air cooling would be enough/safer. I also know someone who owns a machine shop and was considering going over there with one of the cards to see about pricing/possibility of having custom made heat sinks. The idea there is to have fins coming off of more of the card.
