In this article, I will go over the process of setting up a miner on your phone (Android specifically)

If you already have a pool and coin in mind, you can skip to Step 1. If you don’t, you’re going to need to join a pool in order to mine (Sorry, no solo mining!)
Pre-Step 1: Figure out which crypto you’re mining and which algorithm it uses. For this tutorial, I’m going to pick GunCoin, a NeoScrypt coin.
Pre-Step 2: Join a pool. I’m going to use theblocksfactory for this one. I go to pxc.theblocksfactory.com and create a worker.


Step 1: Download a miner on your phone. For the purpose of this tutorial, we will be using NeoNeonMiner specifically because it is easier to set up and doesn’t cap you like other mobile miners do.

Step 2: Open the app and swipe right. You’ll notice that there is an option for preset1. Each preset is a setting, with each one getting its own pool and/or algorithm and/or amount of threads. I’m using preset4, but you can use any preset.

Step 3: Enter your info and select threads. The threads is the most important one here. The more threads, the more mining your phone does but the larger the battery pull and faster to overheat. I’m using 1 thread since I personally need to conserve battery through the day, but you can pick. The password doesn’t really matter, so I just leave it at d=8.

Step 4: Press store and then load. Afterwards, swipe left and tap start. You’re going to want to give some time for it to start mining.

And that's it! You're mining now!
