Basically a mining rig is a vitaminized PC with high processing hashrate, but with some additional considerations that mainly involve what kind of motherboard and GPU choose. So, if you have some experience tossing the PC, assembling a mining rig does not present you with any major difficulties.

The hashrate of our rig will depend on the type of graphic card chosen as well as the number of them. The current standard is configurations with six graphics cards attached to the same motherboard. This also implies that we will need a huge power source (or two) to feed our mining rig.

Since the mining process is a unique task of the graphics card, the rest of the components like the processor or the ram memory go to the background. The important thing here are GPUs.
