Workers come from all over to work in the mines. The desolate town begins to flourish. Business is booming, until….there is no more precious metal to dig out of the ground. People begin to leave, business falls, crime rises, and the town becomes a waste land. Worse than before. At least before the desolate area was natural. Now, the desolate area has buildings, houses, cars, garbage, and everything you know is in any metropolitan city but in total ruin. A ghost town. Sadly this type of scenarios do happen.
