Celebrating Proof of Work... finally!
Good day dear Steemers, Zatminers community here.
To be honest right away we are no different than an average crypto space person out there - it's our third BTC halving and what we did most of the time during the past cycles and our 7 years in blockchain was pretty much excavating resources. No, we didn't conduct ICOs or rug pulls, but still helped with our time, work and expertise the projects and people who ended up being sued or condemned or at minimum quit the space after the seasonal buzz.
Crypto made a lot of things possible in our lives, it actually changed our lives to the better in a way we could have never imaged. It didn't make us stereotypically rich, but gave the possibilty to live our family lifestyles the way we wanted and spend more time with the children.
The next halving being around the corner and the clock ticking made us realize that out of hundreds of crypto experiences we had we haven't had the most essential one yet. Never submitted a share to a PoW mining pool, never mined a penny! And thus never celebrated the very essence of the space that made everything else possible.
With ~147 days left before the halving this time around we will try to make it different and devote some of the available free time to PoW mining for the sake of mining, start from scratch and describe our experiences in form of texts and videos.
What are the goals of Zatminers community?
- Learn about PoW mining from the ground up, share our experience and make the process easier for future newcomers as well as engage younger generation in mining as a math practical discipline.
- Mine PoW algorithms with any budget devices already available to us and contribute to green, refurbished and easy-on-tech mining concepts.
- Provide additional value to small and very small miners by offering them goods and services in real life in exchange for the coins the mine.
- Explore and promote the concept of solo mining and small pool ideological mining on budget devices.
- Use Proof of Work models in real life cultural events.
- Contribute to PoW mining software and hardware research.
- Connect and network with like-minded miners' channels.
What aren't the goals of Zatminers community?
- Burn the heck out of tech and throw it out.
- Mine for the bull run, pump it and dump it.
- Write sweet-honey-sugar posts on paid promotions of coins and hardware.
We will keep the channel running all the way up to halving and hope to make this journey interesting for all the followers and contributors. Let's celebrate the Proof of Work culture together!
