Isn't Participating on Steemit really like Mining Steem?

I just realized that people who participate on steemit get to grow or increase their steem amount slowly or faster deepening on how much steem power (like harsh power) they have. This is like the smartest thing to do. I seriously have been trying to get my friends and co workers onboard. Such a genius idea. Thank you steem team .

As @Stebelle said, on Steemit we mine with our minds.

Don't worry, once your account starts growing your friends will follow. Until then level up and learn all you can so you can teach them.
