I have found that Windows 10 seems to cause problems and I've returned to Windows 7.
Seems to be far more stable for mining.

The machine I dug out was a Windows 7 machine but only had x32 instead of x64, while the PC itself was x64 capable. I would have to see if I can downgrade versions but keep the x64 version.
The miner seems stable, just not getting the hash rate I would have expecyted.
