Great question, I would also like to know.
A quick question, where can I see if I am being rewarded for mining? It is running and I am receiving blocks and all looks well, but my time to produce stays high.
Also, are the rewards paid in Steem, or in Steem Power?

What's your hash rate / current time to produce? You'll know when you get the POW when in the
steemdclient you see your hash rate drop dramatically. You'll then see on https://steemd.com/@grahnite an update likegrahnite found a pow. Also you will be at the bottom of the miner-witness queue on https://steemd.com/witnesses. It takes about 2 hrs to get through the queue. At this point you need to still maintain a good connection to the network, etc., and once it's your turn at the top of the queue, you'll get a message in thesteemdclient that you signed a block, and you should see your account balance go up. The mining rewards are paid in Steem Power.Oh wow, fantastic reply, thanks so much. Not at my server at the moment. I get about 27khs and time to produce best so far was around 600.
This is depressing, I'm not even in the Witness or Miner-Witness queue :(
Should I be doing anything with the wallet on the server, is nothing else necessary once the mining is chugging along? Seems like something is wrong. My server has been mining for 8 hours and NOTHING.
