Started mining ethereum since June 2017, having my first rig in the mining business. Recently i have completed building my second rig producing the same hashrate that the first one produced which is 142 Mh/s.

The beginning

When i collected my first ethereum in July, it took me one month and my second took 35 day and now its more than 40 day. Difficulty from February 3rd to March 30th had doubled
The difficulty then doubled again from March 30th to May 29th having a similar impact. Since May 30th the hash rate has increased by 30%.

How abut today

According to cryptocompare.com website the profit for ethereum for 142 Mh/s is $ 145.99 per month

whilst profit mining monero for 3.96Kh/s is $176.97 per month making 2.1 XMR.

what are the opportunities?

It is possible to mine two coins on the machine, thus we can do mining for ethereum and DCR using clymore app making $46.71 and 1.78 DCR so total is 145.99 + 46 = $192, but it can damage your cable if you are in hot countries.

On the other hand you mine monero by using your GPU and you need a CPU to mine the other coins, but i dont have any calculations for it.

Thus Mining ethereum or monero ? which one is most profitable considering the changes in mining difficulty and price.

sometimes i feel crazy and i am bidding on monero for the long run for my next rig, what is your thoughts.
