Claymore 9.7 Mining Etherium and UBIQ on one mining rig

I just wanted to write a short tutorial on mining Etherium and UBIQ on the same mining rig. Etherium is quite profitable at the moment but the difficulty is increasing and it takes quite a long time to get 1 ETH if you only have 4 cards starting off as a beginner. Ubiq is a coin I have taken an interest in and the difficulty is still quite low. Epoh is at 6 at the time of writing, so your chance of getting a higher volume of coins is pretty good although they are not worth that much at the present.

So if you have one Rig with multiple cards, it is possible to use Claymore to mine Etherium with 3 cards and UBIQ with the remaining card in the same system. You just have to make two copies of Claymore so that you can run two instances of it seperately and also use the -di switch to target specific GPU's with it. Also take note that one can be on the default management port of 3333 but the second should be changed to 3334 or something different otherwise they clash.

EthDcrMiner64.exe -epool eu1.ethermine.org:4444 -ewal Yourwallet -epsw x -eworker rigtest -etht 1000 -mport -3333 -mode 1 -ftime 10 -r 1 -di 012

above is my start batch file of one instance targeting GPU 0,1 and 2 for etherium
I am using -r 1 so that the miner will restart and execute reboot.bat (shutdown /r /t 5 /f) if one of the GPU's fail. You can place your start.bat files in startup folder to automatically restart miners upon reboot. In Explorer address bar type: shell:startup, and it will take you to the startup folder of your user profile. Copy your start.bat files here.

EthDcrMiner64.exe -allcoins 1 -epool ubiqpool.io:8008 -ewal Yourwallet -epsw x -eworker rigtestubiq -mport -3334 -di 3

This is the batch script for starting the 2nd Instance of Claymore to mine UBIQ targeting GPU3 (-di 3), notice that -mport -3334 was changed so that one is on 3333 and the other on 3334. This way both instances can be monitored separately with the Claymore Dual miner manager.

My power target on Afterburner is set to 50. I find this under volts my Nvidia G1 Gaming GTX 1060's to keep them running cooler and almost no loss in hashrate or very minimal. The memory clocks are +650. I found going higher caused instability. 1 card has samsung memory and the other 3 cards have micron memory. Possibly the micron memory cards are the issue. The samsung memory card could possibly go slightly higher, but i set afterburner to synchronize settings across all GPU's. You can off course remove this setting and set each card individually to maximize each card with different settings. In my opinion taking a 0.5MH/s reduction and having the cards running 9 Degrees Celsius cooler is worthwhile for longevity of the cards. It is also more economical as each card uses about 88W instead of normal 120W at full power. This is a saving of 128W across the board on all 4 cards. This will save you quite a bit on the power bill.

Well i hope this helps any newcomers to the mining world, to diversify their portfolio to support other coins while still mining Etherium for ROI. Get in on smaller promising coins!

Interesting article. Interesting to see I'm not the only one that is thinking about this. The crypto market: High risk high gains!. That doesn't mean that a gain is guaranteed though. There's simply no guarantee in anything in life and especially not in a high risk market. I really advice people to take a look at: https://www.coincheckup.com I'm using this site that gives in depth reports on every tradable cryto in the market. For example: https://www.coincheckup.com/coins/Ubiq#analysis For a complete Ubiq Report.
