Painted Frigate Model

in #miniatures5 years ago

Since making my website public yesterday, I've typed it into several search engines just to see what pops up. Naturally, since "Kaja's Models and Machinations" is the name of my Shapeways shop, as well as my website, and it has been around for a lot longer, that is the first result in both DuckDuckGo and Google. However, there was another result from Google Images that took me by surprise.

Jürgen Klüser is a highly skilled miniature model maker with an extensive collection on his website. He's also a customer of mine, and he has sent me pictures of models that I've designed and he's painted. He never sent me pictures of the 1812 Frigate model that I designed, possibly because he wanted to wait until the latest batch of ships he bought from me was all done, but I figured I'd share what I found. This is an impressive paint job with nice details on the volute, far better than anything I could do:

On that note, since I didn't take any of these pictures, I'll be declining payout on this post.

I can't wait to see what Jürgen does with my Manila Galleon!
