Knowledge brings Prosperity
Give a man beans and you feed him for a day; teach a man to grow beans and you feed him for a lifetime.<
It has been said that you cannot bring prosperity to the poor by giving them money, you must help them learn how to make money and how to keep their money.
Taking money from the rich and giving it to the poor has been shown not to work, as the rich soon reaccumulate their wealth and the poor soon lose theirs, if they are not taught how to make it and keep it.
”To make people rich, you must first bring the richness of knowledge to their minds”<
In today’s day and age, it is sometimes tough for people to see the value of financial education, while they are struggling to exist, just as it is difficult to see your way out of a forest when you are lost in it, but easy to see the way you need to go, when you climb a tall tree and look around.
Financial education helps you to see the way out of your financial troubles when you are struggling to survive. It is your” tall tree”.
When your struggling to survive it’s hard to invest time and resources in things which bring money later. Hunger is a short sighted master.
But perhaps if one were incentivized, or given money to educate oneself, more people would take the time to learn.
@tojukaka wrote a post once about a game he created and hosted on the EOS blockchain, call EOSDUCATOR, which was a financial education game, which rewarded it’s players with both money (cryptocurrency) and knowledge of cryptocurrency.
It was a “tall tree” that he created with his own hands.
I think we should bring this tree to the Steem blockchain.
