I was wondering what do you think about deadlines when work is related to rapidly emerging markets? Like for instance blockchain?
I see many companies publishing their roadmaps and targets, which sometimes made me wonder: how serious are they?

I think these deadline need to be softer and adapt to rapidly changing environments and factors. The importance is communication in order to appropriately manage expectations among the stakeholders. Roadmap are important for stakeholders not involved in the “day to day” to determine the appropriate amount of accountability and governance to assign to projects.
