How to Lose Twenty Years of Your Life! Using the Relativity of Time to Your Advantage....

in mindset •  22 days ago

Hello, dear friends!

We have often talked about the true value and importance of time in this blog and how it can decide your fate; whether you live a life of happiness and achieve everything you have dreamt about or live with the regret of wasted opportunities one after another.

The reason behind our obsession with time is that it truly is our most important resource and we should treat it with the utmost attention of our mind and soul.

Time is your greatest adversary as it is your greatest tool in life.

image4.jpg
img src

But time is a relative and abstract concept. It has been theoretically assumed that time moves at different speeds for different individuals.

For instance, you may be sitting behind your desk and performing your task while your friend is out in a basketball field playing.

Time moves differently for the two of you. For him, full of adrenaline and with heightened senses, time moves faster. For you, performing your chores or doing your job, time moves slower.

One question remains; can we control how time moves for us?

In theory? Yes, it is absolutely possible to manipulate time to your advantage. In practice? It is more difficult than it sounds.

image2.jpg

Today I am going to share with you a valuable technique that I have always treasured in my own life.

When we talk about our days, we assume that days are 24 hours long. This is the general assumption of people, but more correctly, it is a predetermined subjugation of the relative concept known as time.

What if I told you that your days could, in theory, be longer or shorter than 24 hours?

We are here to give valuable techniques about time management, and not to break laws of physics. So, let us emphasize that every 60 minutes is an hour.

image3.jpg
img src

Our deceptive mind plays us when it comes to the natural cycle of a day. We begin our day thinking that we have 24 hours, or if we are more rational, 16 hours without our sleep.

We try to do everything in that 16 hours, but fail to do the most important things that will push us forward in the direction of our dreams.

What if I told you that you could divide every day into more than just one day and live 16 hours of a day in a way as if you have lived three days?

This is basically how it plays out: You begin your day when you wake up. But you do not have 14, 16 or 18 hours.

Your day is only 6 hours long. When you wake up, imagine that you have a full day ahead of you and it is only 6 hours long.

You need to do everything you wanted to do today in 6 hours, because you do not have 16. When the six hours are over, you enter another day which is 6 hours long.

image1.jpg
img src

The reason behind this division is that we often procrastinate and waste valuable time because we are predisposed under this illusory veil to believe that we have enough time to take care of everything. We usually end up with little time to do everything right.

By using the relativity of time to our advantage, we begin to harness the power of time and use it to boost our productivity. This will result in unbelievable amount of productive energy.

You will do things in a single day that could take you a week to accomplish, because you are living everyday like it is actually three days!

It doesn’t have to be six hours. It is up to you to play with the relativity of time. What you need to understand is that we can harness the power of time in a much more proficient and reasonable way than we are already doing.

What you do in with your own relative time is what eventually decides your fate!

I sleep a maximum of 4 hours a day on average.

Have you ever thought that if you sleep 8 hours a day you when you are 60 you will have slept 20 years of your life.

Think about it! Life is too precious.

I know there are people who can say, "But I have to have quality of life"

Ok, I respect the point of view.

Some people tell me: You're going to die because you don't sleep!!!!

I answer: You too will die, but we do not know when and ....

the big difference is, I certainly would rather die at the age of 40 having lived intensely instead of living eighty years procrastinating my life in bed.

I'm already losing 10 of my life if I reach 60 years of age sleeping 4 hours on average and this leaves me disappointed when I reflect about....

Ten years asleep? :(

A BIG HUG!

This is already one of my favorite texts in this year that is just beginning. I am a person who has mixed feelings with time. Sometimes I feel like I'm losing it, other times I feel like I'm squeezing it out until the last second. Like you, I believe that the passing of time is relative: it is slow for those who wait and fast for those who fear. I like the advice of mentally distributing time so as not to believe that I have it by the hand and I loved that final reflection of sleeping and aging in the same image. Victor Hugo said: Forty is the old age of youth, fifty is the youth of old age. That's how relative time is. If we see that time passes and we don't change or advance, maybe we should start doing other things. Thank you always for your reflections, @chbartist;)

Time is an invaluable resource that we must make the most of if we want to achieve our goals and I think it's a very good idea to sleep less and do more. Perhaps at the beginning, sleeping less will be uphill, but with practice we will achieve it. In addition to always keep in mind what will be the achievements that I will obtain due to my effort.
Greetings my dear @chbartist

I think it is interesting to the technique of divide the day cycles 6 hours to plan the tasks of three days in a day. But I don't agree with remove sleep. Each person has a biological clock in which there is a stage sleep that the body required to restore cells and perform functions maintenance, cssi all of nature metabolic. And the number of hours varies from person to another. Simply put, sleeping allows us to more health and energy. If you can sleep only 4 hours and feel well, perfect, I also could do that. But since I am diabetic, I care much sleeping at least 6 hours. If I want to get to live 80s healthy, is my choice. Each person has its rate vital, some like to live slowly and other fast. I am 52 years old, Iprefer to live with calm. A big hug, my friend

We have three faces of life first one is starting education and manners because after a time we can't get it . And next one is 20_30 age groups , if we do hard work in this section then whole life will be fantastic and last is above 40 , the next life will pass according to your past performance. Ya we can see many exceptional cases but mostly will pass with these stages . Because things give their best when we do them in right way and right time .good written @chbartist
Thanks!

It definitely is an interesting idea @chbartist to divide a day into smaller portions - my individual "days". It sounds good in theory, but with a 9-5 job and the time it takes me to get ready in the morning and to go to the office and back home again, 12 hours of the "official" day are already gone.

My day is automatically diveded into two portions - the "work for my boss" day and the "I do my stuff" day.

I usually get about 5 hours of sleep. But: I lose time during my "I do my stuff" day, because I simply fall asleep in front of my screen because I am just too tired.

So as I said, your ideas is an interesting concept, but I doubt that it is a realistic option for everybody.

·

I know friend, It's just a reflexion, all of us are fell free to do what we want! Regards

Excellent article, congratulations!

I really liked that part where you compare the passage of time for two different people, one in the office and the other playing basketball. As you propose, the time division strategy can lead us to excellent results. This happens for example in basketball, where the coach with his team losing and missing less than 10 seconds, uses a series of strategies that divide the time in thousandths of a second, sometimes reaching to change the events and finally achieve a successful result. Time is an inclement resource, make good use of it, take advantage of it.

Saludos @chbartist!

Arguably, I totally agree quality of life beats quantity of years. My prayer is to live life according to God's Divine Purpose; and, at mortal journey's end, hear those precious words: "Well done good and faithful servant, well done" (Matthew 25:21).

I tend to not get things done, but im working on it. This is a really awesome blog to help others out @chbartist
Loved it and cant wait to see more from you!

A person needs to sleep for 7-8 hours, otherwise he will feel overwhelmed and his working day will simply not work out fully. My opinion is to lead a healthy lifestyle and you will have time to create everything in your life

·

completely agree, 4 hours of sleep is a terrible idea!

It is the right thing that we can remove time from our sleeping time and use it for more work. But as far as I am concerned. I believe that there is no happiness like sleep, and there is no pain like crying.

This is often a struggle as I try to maintain a balance because there is always a breaking point at which the marginal improvements are not worth the time spent. However, once you find balance with the physical needs, time must be optimized to get as much done as possible!

If we think deeply, time is there all the time.
Time Has Never Been Wasted.
There's no such thing as wasting time.
But there are a lot of:
waste energy
waste money
waste food
waste relationship
waste entertainment
waste conversation
waste education
waste hardwork
waste weapons
waste clothes
waste thoughts
waste people.

Let's try our BEST to be wasteless.

Everyone has to sleep, so you don't lose time in relation to other people. Therefore you should not mourn the years of sleeping.

All of us have 24 hours of time allocated. But use of time depend on individual.
Thanks for sharing valuable technique.

Very interesting article and I am going to work on this . Just need to decide if I want to go with 6 hours.
Thanks

Sir you are right about the time
Only one thing's can change your life your good time management.
it's true here is not retake time is precious time and life both are valuable if you regard time and life don't to lose it.
Very good and valuable article I appreciate your job.

Time is very valuable, that is why we never recover the time that is lost. And sleep is indispensable, it is time invested.

Losing instead of getting, many people lose their time getting but never knew they are losing, but it all depends on what they are doing.

Thanks for sharing your 6 hour technique, the truth is that it can be very good for the use of our time. Regarding the time of sleep, I think it is important to rest a minimum number of hours and we should not take it as a lost time. A greeting!

If only we changed our perspective in a way that we started INVESTING time instead of SPENDING it, we’d be much more productive than we are right now.

Excellent concept 💯

You summed it up very well. It´s all a matter of attitude. Everyone perceives time differently. Our problem with time is a self-made thing today. Everyone has enough time! The 6 hour method is definitely a great thing to try it out. Thanks for sharing your article!

Sir time is to fast life is very short time is not rewind I think better manage time good idea for enjoying movement because any movement not come again in life.
Nice blog good article.
Thanks for sharing.

Very interesting article, thanks for sharing!

Here are a few words and thoughts as to why I think this is very subjective based on circumstance of the individual.

I, personally do a lot of dream analysis and interpretation to allow myself to reflect and improve my waking hours... I see this as an essential life skill and I wouldn't be interested in cutting down this time (at least right now).

I also see people throughout history; Edgar Cayce for instance, who used sleep/dream to diagnose his patients; As well as Nikola Tesla, who used a form of sleeping with visualization to help him see his inventions before he created them.

Again, I understand the premise of this piece but not everything will work for everyone

When you're working 60 hours every week, you're going to miss having the capacity to cook for your family or going through long days with your grandparents. You can just round out your work history in computerized structures so often before you lose it. Run prepare treats with your niece when she returns home from school. Welcome your companions over for a supper party. An occupation will in the long run come, however chances to gain important experiences with those you cherish may not come around as frequently as you think once you get occupied once more. @chbartist @coolguy222

@chbartist impressive explanation about time.
If we think a day composed of 3 days, it will boost our productivity to the next level.

As usual, a long interesting post ... I love to look here .... all the best fro you from @aple

4 hours of sleep per night? I hope this isn't any advice because science is clear about this: you need at least 7-8 hours of sleep. You can't cut corners. If you do, you will actually age quicker making the quest for saving time pointless!

I would like to be able to sleep 8 hours a day, hahaha but I can not ... I barely sleep like 4 hours ... and I do not see it as a waste of time, I know what you mean, but the body needs to rest and recharge energy.

Nice, where do you get those pictures?

Although the pictures is very nice

Dear @chbartist sir
It is absolutely right that time runs for different people at different speeds, it is very difficult for a screwed person to spend the entire day while a diligent person falls short of 24 hours. Nature has divided the time cycle in such a way that it is time to get enough time to rest otherwise man works like a machine, yet he is left behind for his purpose, because he did not learn to use the right time management.
